About the Army Body Composition Program (FFP)

All Soldiers enrolled in the ABCP will complete the Army Fit for Performance initial group counseling session conducted by the Registered Dietitian (RD) and Nutrition Care staff. Fit for Performance is a lifestyle and behavior modification program that focuses on nutrition and exercise to improve weight loss success. It is designed to help Soldiers lose weight and/or meet their body fat standard per Army Regulation (AR) 600-9, improve military readiness and job performance, and lower risk of weight-related diseases. Participants are eligible and encouraged to follow-up with individual sessions with the RD to continue lifestyle changes.

Classes are held weekly in the PCMH conference room. A nutrition counseling memorandum will be provided at the end of the FFP session.

To schedule appointments please contact Nutrition Care at 760-383-5501 or 760-383-5494. Unit classes may also be scheduled upon request. For more information regarding the ABCP please review AR 600-9.
