All eligible beneficiaries 6 months & older on Fort Irwin can receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Certain groups of people are recommended to get a booster shot. Weed ACH is offering a second booster to adults 50 years of age and older and immunocompromised beneficiaries. To learn more about the COVID-19 vaccine, visit www.tricare.mil/COVIDVaccine. The DOD now requires COVID-19 vaccines for all active duty service members (ADSMs) and National Guard members. If you’re a service member and you’ve received a COVID-19 vaccine from a non-DOD provider, make sure to update your medical records. Click here for more information.
TRICARE Open Season 2021 has closed. The next open season will take place in the fall of 2022. If you didn’t enroll or make a change to your TRICARE health plan during open season, you must wait until the next open season unless you have a TRICARE Qualifying Life Event (QLE). Flu shots will be available to the Fort Irwin community Saturday, November 6 and Saturday November 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Weed Army Community Hospital. These will be a walk-in only events. After the 13th, flu shots will be available through Primary Care.
