Yuma Proving Ground Health Clinic
The Yuma Proving Ground Health Clinic (YPG) is composed of a physician assistant (PA), nurse practitioner provider, occupational health nurse, and other ancillary support staff. The clinic provides primary care, occupational health, lab, pharmacy, immunizations, and x-ray services. YPG is a tenant organization, and its personnel are assigned to the Weed Army Community Hospital at Ft. Irwin in California.
Our facility is a community-based clinic which provides accessible, high quality, cost-effective and customer focused interdisciplinary health care for TRICARE Prime Active Duty Service Members, Tricare Prime Retirees, and their dependents. The scope of comprehensive services includes chronic and acute illness care, preventive health maintenance, health promotion and wellness, education and counseling, and specialty consultation and referral, and tele-health services. There are no after-hours care available at YPG, so please call 911 or proceed to the nearest urgent care center if you have an emergency after hours.

VIPRR - TRICARE Prime beneficiaries age 12 and older can now access virtual urgent care appointments through the Defense Health Agency’s new Virtually Integrated Patient Readiness and Remote Program (VIPRR). Services include care for sinus issues such as cough, allergies, sore throat, rashes, acne, joint pain, and headaches. About the Yuma Proving Ground
U.S. Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG) is a general-purpose desert environmental test facility. The USAYPG is located 26miles north of Yuma, Arizona on U.S. Hwy 95 near the California-Arizona border. This installation covers nearly 1,400square miles and offers climate and terrain similar to major desert areas worldwide. USAYPG is primarily involved in developmental and operational test of artillery weapons and ammunition, aircraft armament systems, mobility equipment, and air delivery systems.
